1. Cover your table with the tablecloth.

2. Arrange the bowls down the center of the table. Fill one with white pumpkins, one with orange pumpkins, and one with gourds.

3. Using a small, sharp knife, cut around the stems of the striped pumpkins, pushing the knife tip through until it reaches the seeds. Pull out the stems and seeds. Insert a tapered candle into each pumpkin, and place one on each side of the center bowl.
4. Scatter acorns and fall leaves around the bowls and candleholders.

5. Set out the place settings with the dinner plates, the napkins, the salad plates, and the flatware. Place acorn-shaped bowls on top of salad plates.
