Invitations and RSVPs Saying Thanks Table Setting Being a Good Guest
Turn Granny Smith apples into whimsical vases by simply coring them and filling with daisies to mark guests’ places at the table. An arrangement of baskets, apples and daisies makes a fresh centerpiece. The flowers will last several days if you place them in water picks from the florist before arranging them in the apples and baskets.
1. Cover your table with the tablecloth.
2. Arrange the runner on table, or create your own runner by folding and pressing fabric into a runner; lay the runner down the center of the table.
3. Fill each basket with 4 or 5 apples, and arrange in a row down the center of the table runner.
4. Using an apple corer, remove the cores of the remaining 4 apples. Cut the flower stems down to fit into the apples for the place settings; place the flower stems in florist’s water picks, and insert into the apple cores.
5. Set out the place settings by setting a gold dinner plate at each place. Fold the napkins and place one on each dinner plate, then top each with a faux wood salad plate. Place one flower-filled apple on each salad plate. Arrange the glasses and flatware on the table.
6. Cut down the remaining flower stems to fit into the baskets; place the flower stems in the florist’s water picks. Arrange the flowers around the apples in the baskets.

I like this simple idea. I am going to try it with some apples of varigated color. Such as pink ladys or fuji apples just because I think that they are easier to eat and if someone was prone to eat the centerpiece it would be more enjoyable than the granny smith.
