How Does Your Garden Grow Centerpiece

A Gardenscape Centerpiece

1. Cover your table with a tablecloth.

2. Arrange the checked runner on table, or create your own runner by folding and pressing fabric into a runner; lay the runner down the center of the table.

3. Line each colander with a piece of plastic wrap, covering the holes so the potting soil will not spill out.

4. Remove the lettuces and chives from their plastic pots, and plant them in the plastic-lined colanders, adding additional potting soil to the colanders to nestle the plants, if necessary. Lightly water the plants, and let them stand until you are sure they will not drip water on the table runner.

5. Place the newly planted colanders in a row down the center of the table runner, and arrange the children’s gardening gloves and tools decoratively around the plants on the runner.
