This entire look can be purchased at the grocery store and put together quickly.
1. To prepare artichokes, cut off stem end.
2. Pull outer layers of leaves away to expose tender inner leaves that cover the choke.
3. Use a sharp knife to cut around choke; lift up inner leaves and scrape out choke, revealing the artichoke heart. To prepare peppers; use a sharp knife to cut around stem; remove and discard.
4. Cut flowers to fit height of artichokes and peppers. Bundle flowers together for each vegetable "vase;" wrap bases in wet paper towels to keep the stems moist. Place them in the vegetables.
5. Lay banana leaf down center of table that is covered with a white tablecloth. Arrange vegetables in a row on banana leaf. Set table with white plates and napkins.

Nice simple. easy to have conversation over across the table and over the centerpiece. there will be enough room on the table for the food. I will try this on at my next dinner.
