Tacos con Puerco
Fresh ground pork is a fresh idea for tacos. It’s lean, quick-cooking and muy delicious. All you need to do is brown the ground pork with taco spices and serve with all the fixings -- lettuce, tomato, cheese and sour cream.

Ingredients

1 pound Smithfield Ground Pork

1 8-ounce can tomatoes cut up

1/4 c. chopped onion

1 T. chili powder

1/4 t. garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

8 taco shells
-
2 c. shredded iceberg lettuce

2 tomatoes cut in wedges
Steps
In heavy skillet brown ground pork; stir in undrained canned tomatoes, onion, chili powder and garlic powder. Bring to boiling; reduce heat and simmer uncovered until most liquid evaporates about 15 minutes stirring occasionally. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Heat taco shells and portion filling into shells; top with tomatoes and lettuce.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with lettuce cheese sour cream and all the fixings.
